What Inside the Manosphere reveals… and what everyone is still missing.
We keep asking what’s wrong with young men.
No one’s asking what we removed from their lives.
Right now:
Around 1 in 3 young men report feeling lonely regularly
Nearly two thirds of young men are single
Boys are falling behind girls across education
That’s not a phase.
That’s a system shift.
There’s a documentary dominating the conversation. Inside the Manosphere.
It shows:
influencers selling dominance
controversy turned into profit
young men searching for direction in all the wrong places
Some call it shocking. Others say it’s nothing new.
Both miss the point.
Because it shows the outcome.
Not the system that created it.
The Manosphere Isn’t Random. It’s a Market
These influencers aren’t just talking.
They’re selling:
courses
lifestyles
shortcuts
And young men are buying.
Not because they’re stupid.
Because they’re searching.
We Didn’t Raise Weak Men. We Removed The Environments That Made Them Strong.
Because before all this…
There were places that built men.
Not talked about it.
Built it.
Football Was One Of Those Places
Not content. Not entertainment.
Infrastructure.
Saturday wasn’t optional. It was ritual.
It gave:
belonging
identity
hierarchy
shared struggle
And most importantly it gave reps.
Football Didn’t Just Fill Time. It Gave Meaning.
It gave young men somewhere to go, something to be, and people to belong to.
And in doing that, it quietly removed something most people only notice when it’s gone.
Loneliness.
Not by talking about it.
By replacing it.
With teammates. With routine. With purpose.
You didn’t need to say “I feel isolated” when you had a game on Saturday and lads expecting you there.
And It Didn’t End At The Final Whistle
You played. And then you stayed.
The pub after wasn’t extra. It was part of it.
That’s where:
conversations happened
confidence built
you learned how to be around other men
Not taught.
Not forced.
Just lived.
But Football Was Only One Thread
This didn’t happen in isolation.
Across the same period:
Youth services spending in England has fallen by over 70 percent since 2010
Fewer young people regularly play grassroots sport
Boys are falling behind girls across education
At the same time:
Around 1 in 4 children grow up without both parents at home
Male loneliness is rising across every age group
This isn’t coincidence.
It’s infrastructure disappearing.
We Built a System That Pushes Men Online
Look at the environment:
learn through screens
socialise through apps
work through laptops
date through algorithms
So when life doesn’t work…
They don’t go build something real.
They go online and try to fix themselves there.
You Can’t Build a Man Through a Screen
You can build:
opinions
followers
noise
But not:
resilience
confidence
leadership
Those come from:
friction
failure
other people
You don’t become a man in theory.
You become one in front of other people.
The Dating Problem Nobody Wants To Say Out Loud
Dating apps concentrate attention onto a small percentage of men.
The majority experience:
invisibility
rejection
silence
At the same time they’ve had fewer real world interactions than any generation before them.
So what happens?
A generation raised to avoid discomfort
meets a system built on rejection.
No reps. No confidence. No movement.
That’s not weakness.
That’s missing training data.
Rejection Isn’t The Problem. Avoidance Is
Rejection has always been part of life.
But now?
Men aren’t experiencing it early.
So when it hits it feels like identity collapse, not feedback.
Let’s Be Honest About The Lads
Some are lost.
Some are frustrated.
Some are getting it wrong.
They want:
results without discipline
status without earning it
And when things don’t work?
They look for someone to blame.
The Manosphere Didn’t Create Lost Men. It Found Them.
Inside the Manosphere shows the loudest voices.
But the deeper truth is simple.
Mental Health. Where Both Sides Get It Wrong
Young men are far less likely to seek help.
Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death among men under 50 in the UK.
Mental health is real.
But for men it’s built through:
structure
purpose
connection
Remove those…
and nothing replaces it.
Now They Watch Instead Of Live
Football used to be something you did.
Now it’s something you watch.
And watching doesn’t build men.
It builds spectators.
And spectators don’t develop. They observe.
What Replaces It
We’re not going backwards.
But the principle still applies.
Men need:
places where they’re seen
environments where they’re tested
systems where they can earn status
Modern infrastructure looks like:
affordable accessible local football
gyms that build community not just aesthetics
work that rewards competence not credentials
environments where young men are around older men who’ve actually lived
Not content. Not theory.
Real environments with consequences.
Because if real life doesn’t offer that…
the internet will.
And it already is.
Why I’m Saying This
I’ve seen this up close in football, in business, and in the lives of young men trying to find their place.
The pattern doesn’t change.
Too much time online.
Not enough direction in the real world.
And no one willing to say it straight.
I’m not here to lecture it.
I’m here to call it and build something better.
Because if we don’t give young men a path forward, someone else will.
And it won’t be built in their best interests.
The Real Question Nobody Is Asking
It’s not:
How do we stop influencers?
The real question is:
Who rebuilds the infrastructure?
Because the data is clear:
less community
less structure
more isolation
And nature fills that gap every time.
Final Whistle
Inside the Manosphere shines a light on the issue.
But light doesn’t fix anything.
The manosphere didn’t create lost men.
It found them.
And football, along with everything else we quietly dismantled, used to stop that from happening.
We didn’t remove the need for masculinity.
We removed the places it could be built.
And if we don’t rebuild them…
something worse will.
What This Means For Parents
If you’re reading this and recognising your son in it…
The instinct is to shut it down.
That usually makes it worse.
Because this isn’t influence.
It’s missing infrastructure.
I’ve broken down how to rebuild that at a household level:
how to introduce structure without conflict
how to create real world reps
how to guide without pushing him further away
That goes out to paid members this week.
If this isn’t for you, no hard feelings. Just reply unsubscribe and I’ll take you off the list.
If it is…
stay close. We’re building something real here.
